Natasha graduated in 1994 as a physiotherapist.
She completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy in 1996 and a MSc. degree in 1998. She has worked with various sports at both recreational and elite level, including being a team physiotherapist at the Olympics in 2000. Natasha has worked in private practice in the UK for the last 15 years treating musculoskeletal injuries and has a particular interests in the rehabilitation of shoulder injuries. She has been trained in Clinical Pilates.
She was the in house physiotherapist at for the degree program at the Circus Space (now the National Centre for Circus Arts) for three years and has developed a good understanding of circus injuries as well as the demands of performing. She has continued to work with circus artists over the past 10 years and has worked closely with Gravity over the past two years. She has done workshops on injury prevention as well as seen several artists individually to help rehabilitate their injuries. She enjoys keeping up to date with the latest injury management science.
She will begin to provide physiotherapy assessments at Gravity once a month .
The session will be 1 hour long and include :
- a detailed history taking;
- examination and;
- treatment plan
As the session will be held at Gravity she will be able to look at training actions which may be aggravating the injury.
